the job

So this job I have is definitely one that tests my patience and understanding. I play many hats during a day for many people, mostly those with young lives. Sometimes I wonder why did I take this challenge on? But then that question slowly seeps away because I know why. I enjoy being a factor of change in the lives of our future. My hope is to instill the expectation in each child that they can and will succeed. Obstacles may interrupt their plans, but those obstacles should only push them harder. I am still early on in my career and have so many goals and plans to see through. It's going to be an exciting road and I look forward to the journey!

cold and Texans

This cold weather is really getting to me. I use to have a love for cold weather. As I get older, I find that I am more of a summer girl. I miss my warm days. I miss my beach time days. I know when the summer gets near I am probably going to miss the cooler weather, but I won't miss the cold. The one thing I do enjoy about this weather is the enjoyment of a hot cup of coffee. Interestingly, there are two things I started to drink these past few months with the new job-one is sodas and the other is coffee. I'm attempting to slow the soda thing down, but I am enjoying the coffee quite a bit. I haven't crossed over to the Starbucks bandwagon. I don't think I will either. I'm not to fond of the flavored coffees. But we should never say never right? So, I'm excited because our hometown team is on their way...hopefully to the Superbowl! As of now we are two games away. We have a game Sunday and we'll see if we get to move forward. It would be a neat thing to be a part of the Superbowl! Our basketball team made their Championship and won back to back. Our baseball team went to the World Series. We didn't win, but it was such a sweet time to get that far. Now we await our Texans. I have all the faith in them! We'll have to wait and see.
