Are you into any soaps these days? I am so into the Young and the Restless. I have been ever since I was 13 years old. That's quite a long time.
See the story revolves around a few families-
There are the Newmans. The Newmans are Victor, Nikki, Victoria, Nick, Adam, and Abby. Victor and Nikki have been married and remarried about 100 times! Their children are Victoria and Nick. Victoria's husband Billy and she have 3 children Reed, Delia, and John. Nick's children are Cassie, Noah, Summer, and Faith. Cassie, Noah, and Faith's mother is Sharon. Cassie was killed in an accident when driving a drunken Daniel home. Summer's mother is Phyllis who is also Daniel's mother. Adam is a son Victor had with one of his many wives Hope from Kansas. Adam was married to Chelsea until they recently divorced. Abby is Victor's daughter from a previous wife, Ashley who is an Abbot.
The Abbots. The Abbots are John, Jack, Ashley, Traci, and Billy. John is the father to Jack, Ashley, Traci and Billy. Jack has a son Kyle and Keemo-but we never see Keemo. Kyle's mother Diane died. We never hear about Keemo's mom. Ashley's daughter is Abby (who is also Victor's daughter). Traci is married to Steve and they live in New York. She had a daughter Colleen with her ex-husband Brad. Both have passed away in two separate incidents. Wow! I didn't realize this Abbot family has had so many deaths in the family!
The Winters. The Winters are Neal, Lily, Devon, and Moses. Lily is married to Cane and they have a set of twins Charlie and Mattie. Devon is a child Neal adopted with his former wife Drucilla. Drucilla passed away many moons ago. Devon is not married, but is dating Roxanne. Moses is his child he had with a former wife Sofia. Neal falls in love so easily, but his current flame is a lawyer named Leslie.
The matriarch of the show is Catherine Chancellor. She has more money than Bill Gates and the founder of Facebook put together or so it seems. Victor Newman I\is probably a close second in line or close to it. He gets anything and everything he wants. I feel bad for those who are not on his side because he makes or breaks your life.
There are several other families and characters all mixed in on the Young and the Restless. There is Chelsea, Chloe and Kevin, Phyllis, Sharon, Lauren, Michael, Fenmore, Dylan, Avery, Jill, Esther etc... So many other characters that intertwine in the lives of the characters above and within each other.
The Young and the Restless has lots of hot story lines and some that are on the serious side. I love how crazy the story line can get. It's like there is no limit to what will come of the characters on this show. You name it, it's happened. Kids are small one season. They go away to "school" and then return as teenagers or young adults. I love it! It's funny imagining how at one time the kids were older than the other then they go away to magic school and are suddenly older than the other.
I love all the characters in this story, but I have to say my favorite character is Chelsea right now. She was bad girl turned good. She has been there done that. Now she is trying to live the right life and is struggling to do so without her love Adam.
The story lines I love watching involve the Newmans. I just love how Victor has all this power to get his way every time. It's like...yeah mess with Victor Newman because I can't wait to see what he's going to do to you! HA!
I'm loving on the character Adam as well. He too is a bad boy trying so hard to be good. He wants love and acceptance from his only living blood family and is having a hard time with it.
I absolutely love Abby's character. She is fun and spunky, stylish and witty. I don't like they are changing out who plays her character. That always takes getting use to!
